Lubricant for Metal Gears ?

What lubricant do you use on the metal gears ? I didn't want to use grease, because it sprays all over everything, so I put on dry fluid extreme gear lube.

Just a little bit is required and after about 20 flights just re apply.

Does it end up spraying all over the frame inside from the front gears ?

Yes it does kinda get on the tail block but not on the frames. Just needs a little every 10-15 flights.

The key is to coat the gears. If you are heavy handed than yes it will be thrown around.

Yep, have used Stihl grease for years, works great. I apply with a small flat paint brush so not much goes on but for lasts for quite a few flights. Don't see very much slinging off this way.

I picked up some at the local John Deere dealership. Any Stihl dealer will have it and probably many weed eater dealers might also.
