Default Another regular guy's Align FBL on 700 LE report

Okay,

First let me start by saying I am not a rep of any kind and I am not comparing the Align FBL system to any other system as I don't have experience with any other except for the Align unit. I have a great deal of experience with flybar systems (well over 7 years) and I was very worried about moving to a FBL system.

I decided to take the plunge since I'm a gadget kind of guy that appreciates cutting edge technology. Ok, enough about me. Here's what I found with my recent experience with the Align FBL system.

1. Setup was very easy. I've never setup a FBL system and I found it easy to setup. It took me about 60 mins to install, check alignments and setup up the system. I did spend at least 20 mins double checking all alignments and measurements to insure I had everything square.

2. First flight provided major pucker factor as I did not know what to expect. After the first few minutes of hovering the pucker factor went away as I realized that the heli was hovering pretty much without much input from me.

3. End of first flight and throughout second flight I focused on FFF, loops, tail slides, piro flips and funnels and found no surprises.

4. Final flight included tic tocs, rainbows, snakes and a few autos and again on surprises.

During all my flights the heli had no ill tendencies and behaved rather well. I did not have to introduce any trim or correct any alignment issues. I might be the odd ball here but the FBL system makes autos much easier for me. I performed several tail slide, inverted and traditional autos and the FBL system just made it much cleaner as all I had to do was just point to my target and let the system take over.

In summary I will say that the system works as advertised and is pretty much a "PHD" system. Setup was easy and performed well.
