Default Battery Question

In considering the total cost of purchasing a T500E, batteries and charger must be considered. I already have 11.1 2200s and a charger to deal with them. Would 2, 2200 25C batteries wired in series be sufficient for a sport flying a 500? No 3d, just flying circuits, hovering, etc...

Yes and no, it would fly, but 2200mAh is a bit low on capacity, your flight times would be shorter, I am betting about 3-4 minutes. But for hovering, basic forward flight and learning the bird, they would do great until you were able to buy new batteries.

On that note, the Gens Ace 25c 6S batteries aren't too bad and many people on these forums rave about them. I run a couple of their 5300's on my larger birds.

check this out:

I run 3000 to 3300mah packs on my 500s. With sport flying and some VERY MINOR 3D i get about 5.5 to 6minutes and only put back about 75%.

As for chargers, if your 3S charger can adapt to 6S it will be able to charge these. Might take a while, but again, if it helps spread out the costs.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I do have a 6S charger but only 50 watts. I think you answered the question: short flights but will work. Spreading the costs is exactly what I'm trying to do and need to decide on either fixing the Blade 400 after an ugly crash (practicing inverted too low and forgetting to cut the motor after it crashed caused major damage) or upgrade to the 500 like I've been wanting.

Thanks for the input.

Up grade, you will never look back. The stability alone ids worth it,+ you can see it much better. Oh and I think it will flip and roll faster too...
