Default How cold on the G30 TT Plastic Gears

Hey that TT conversion is a slick device. Mine was old stock so it showed up with no clutch holes machined in one side. I did not notice it until I already had about everything bolted to the right side so off it all comes again. It flies nice, tail has no slop and it runs as smooth as a nitro now.

Anyways I fly year round (if I am not crashed). Has anyone had any prob. with the TT gears and the cold? The stock setup was fine to below 10F degs. should the TT gears be good for that cold also? If I do not use the tail as a anchor. They did fine at 35 degs. yesterday.

I remember the old Lite Machine days where if you flew in weather below 20F the gears would just explode every now and then, or the best thing was those flexible rotors if they would hit a blade of grass they would cut right in half. They were great in the warm but them little guys did not like the cold.

I have not had any issues with my E640 TT gears and they are the same . I also did fly my G20TT in the winter also with no issues . About the coldest I flew in would be
-10C . My first E640 still has the original TT gears in it front and rear and now has close to 300 flights.

Sounds great I will not worry about the cold I guess.

Century has a 20% off deal this year so may get a TT setup for the G20, and some extra gears since I like to use my tail as a anchor some times on autos.
