I'm certainly not a PL expert. Hopefully Greg will chime in. But are you running the latest firmware? Balance wiring type (JST-XH vs FMA-style) is set correctly?

How far is that cell overcharging, for curiosity? Are we talking 4.201V, or 4.5V?

As RO says, which wiring mode are you using and which balance board are you using? Are you charging in parallel or as singles? How are you detecting the cell voltages? Cell checkers are notoriously inaccurate, especially on the last cell in the pack.

Report more details and we'll get this sorted out.

Is the charger reporting cell 6 as 4.5V, or is that another device showing 4.5V?

Is this a "normal" parallel board, or one of their new fully-fused modular boards?

"normal" parallel board, and a battery checker showing 6th cell as 4.5 will cross reference with another battery checker asap thanks

Does the charger show cell 6 as 4.20V, or 4.5V, when you're charging? It certainly *shouldn't* allow the cell to read anything higher than 4.20V while charging, but it seems worth asking.

If you have a multimeter, you could also simply check the voltage across the 2 balance pins for cell 6. Just be careful not to let the meter probes touch and short that cell
