It already flies like a brushless MCPX. I really don't think the extra weight of brushless will do any good for the performance. '

Thanks

Well ......... it is not only a quest for more power, it is more a question of reliability since every eflite brushed motor that I've used has had a limited life span. I'd rather put a few bucks up front into a reliable, more powerful motor than shelling out the cash for subpar stock motors and dealing with the agravation of frequent motor changes.

Er... generally speaking, a brushless conversion comes in at the same weight or even lighter, as a BL motor is normally significantly lighter than a brushed. The question is more of if the added BL ESC IC weight will close that delta.

I think the HPo3S + XP-3a will probably be the same weight as stock, if not a tiny bit lighter.

Flies like a brushless mcpx until the motor gets hot or starts to wear out, ask the msrx guys how long their stock motors last..

You can do brushless on the msrx with bigger batteries (240 mah vs 150) and add less than a gram...

So was the one on the MSRx.... Most probably the same design/parts just a different RPM and possibly length. Still a $0.50 motor they charge $10 for....

If the pinion gear has a different number of teeth but the motor is EXACTLY the same it still gets a new part number (mSRX and CW mQX for example). Has eFlite confirmed it's a new motor or is it just a new part #??

+1. Something like, 'New motor, very strong.'
