Default Logo 480 on 3s?

Has anyone tried a 3s low headspeed on the logo 480?

The biggest problem your going to run into with 3 cell is that your going to have to run a high kv motor to get to a flyable head speed. Higher kv mean higher amperage. High amperage means higher capacity batteries. It becomes a bit of a vicious circle

The OP is probably referring to just tossing a 3S pack into a 6S system. It's not dangerous and you dont have to change any electronics. You just put a lower cell count pack in it.

I haven't tried this on the 480. I've done it on a warp 360 that was a 6S system. I've also run my 4S Oxy 3 on 3S packs.

It's not uncommon for guys to do it on 12S systems, on a 700 class heli. Essentially you just get half of the 100% throttle of the system.

Botos did a little vid about it for fun.

I don't know if you could, on the stock super combo that is. The headspeed is already pretty low for this size heli with the 23 tooth pinon on the gov. MrMel calc say you would be around 1200rpm which is low even for a 700
