Difference between vibrations in Playback vs Vibration Analyzer
I don't seem to have problems with SL shutting off due to high vibrations. Still, I would like to understand the difference between the logged vibrations in the Playback log vs the Vibration Analyzer Log. Why are the vibrations in the Playback log consistently lower than in the Vibration Analyzer?
The pictures below show log vibrations in the same helicopter with back-to-back flights with similar flying styles. The Vibration Anazyler records a maximum vibration (presumably coming from the tail) of around 4.95 Mag. However, the Playback Log only shows vibrations as high as 2.75 Index. I guess that the Vibration Analyzer presents magnitude units, whereas the Playback Log presents in Index units. Considering that Skookum recommends keeping the vibrations below 7, is this 7 the index presented in the Playback Log, or is the 7 the magnitude presented in the Vibration Analyzer?

As I understand it, there is no direct correlation between the two. They serve different purposes.

Which of the two is the one that you need to keep below 7 to make the SL work properly?

I think the vibe analyzer uses alot of the sk 720s processing power to give a high sample rate at a large range of Hz. The play back log gives you an over all average (about half way between the peeks and troughs in the vibe analy) as the sk720's resources are split between the vibes an logging stick control/voltage ect.
