Sorry but those canopys suck in my opinion. ..stock one looks better and are bigger..these canopys make your heli look even smaller.

One question. How much? I think I need this. Lol. That's nice. I'm assuming that fits the mcpx.

Wonderful Liftbag, I actually wanted to post up and have you detail some of your latest builds. What is your favorite so far, regarding the compromise between power, reliability, handling, etc...?

Just got her for Christmas. No mods yet, parts still in the mail. However, I made a first rough version of a paper canopy.

I like acrobatic flight in large open areas.
So the power is not a problem. For this reason I prefer the models with 2 or 3 cells.
The 3 cell is perhaps too much with these goals, if only for the fact that in the blink of an eye runs out of sight.

So, my dearest model is the two cells with governor enabled.
Specs are:
  • HP08S 2S 7800kv main motor
  • 9T pinion
  • Castle Creations Phoenix10 esc
  • TheSteve original converter
  • 120SR tail motor
  • Plantraco Tri-Turbo Fan Prop as tail rotor
  • Astroid Design in-line tail motor mount
  • Hyperion 320 mah 2s lipo
  • Rakonheli main frame (better than MH for rise the cg)
Head speed is 6700 rpm and travel pitch is set to 75%. The governor work great.

The helicopter is proving to be very reliable, despite the fact that the linear bec becomes quite hot.

nice! what flight time do you have? Weight? I wish there was some easier way of doing 2S, yours is nice but a bit complex, demands lot of free time

I set the tx timer to 4' 10" and I have no drop in performances during battery discharge.
She weighs 75 grams, so a crash can produce a lot of damage. I fly on grass, and I almost never had major damage.
I do not see a conversion much more complicated than one cell. There is only one diode more.
Certainly it's more expensive and requires the additional cost of the Castle programming interface, but the way she flies is very different
