Default Good combo deal on 550 or not?

Air-craftworld.com has a SUPERSALE!!, Gaui Hurricane 550 Combo w/FES 2Blade System full conversion set (FES-204683) I've never dealt with them, but all things equal. I would grab this if I already have a 425. Thought somebody else here could take advantage if others here think it's a good price. Todd

Hi Todd

Just so you know, I've dealt with this company twice recently and each time has been perfect with really quick delivery and a great item too. It was the Gaui 200 for info..

Cheers
Nick

Great webshop. 3th order from them is in the mail now.

Do note the high shipping costs on the big Gaui kit....

Wait a minute.... how well does the Gaui flybarless controller work compared to the other brands?

You got me. I can't compare, no ownership, and as much reading as I do I've purposely avoided spending to much time with flybarless. I want to focus on hovering a 425 and HK450. I know it's the future. I also here it's not the way to learn.

I think

The Gaui FBL unit has not received rave reviews It was an early generation of FBL - settings changed on DIP switches and somewhat prone to vibe issues from memory

Chaps

I got the GU-365 to go on the little 200 - what a mess!! There was very little vibration but the thing would just pitch to full left aileron on a whim. After three tip overs in a row before take off I built another flybarred head and chucked the FES unit in the spares to be forgotten box!

Get a Beast X instead, I've heard they're very good.

Cheers

Thanks! I have searched a bit and indeed horror-stories with vibrations. That might be the reason you can get the FBL head conversion with Gaui controller for just 79,- together. The metal grips do look nice... soooo shiny .... droool...

My GU-365 Works really well in my GAUI 200 and 425. Just takes a little bit of setting up. However 79.00 for the kit is a great deal.

I will try to get some video of the 365's in action.

Here is some video of Kyle Stacey flying the 425 and 200 with GAUI Flybarless

Enjoy!

It's not as good as the newer flybarless gyros. But it does work.
