Here's a dumb question
How do you set thr-hold for the real Tx?
Specially Fut 7CAP.
I went in the option menu, but don't know what is what.

There is a HOLD menu. Go into there and change it from INH to OFF and set the switch you want to use. Now set the percent of throttle to 0%. It shoud work at that point.

These videos are AMAZING! Just what all us new "internet heli flyers" need. What did everyone do in this hobby before the internet??? I can't imagine trying to track down someone in my area that knows how to fly, let alone fly a helicopter! I'm using your videos to build my CDE now. Incredibly helpful, even the little stuff...like plastic ball links are unidirectional, where is that in the manual??? I'm starting to set up the radio and dial in the servo linkages now, I know I wouldn't have been able to do any of that without your help. First of all, I wouldn't have known how important a correct setup was or even what to look for. From the bottom of my wallet, thank you Bob for ALL your help in this great little hobby. I owe you at least one helicopter worth of saved spare parts and I haven't even started flying yet!

Whats up helifreaks I just wanted to saya thanks to Finless for doing this stuff , im new around here and new to helis ( addicted now ) Ive been trying to soak up as much heli related stuf like a sponge and found this site and just yesterday i watched the instructional on how to do autos , I did my first succesfull autos today , it was one of the coolest things i can do with my heli now im going to do it all the time :cool: .
but seriously it was all thanks to Finless , seeing how it was possable to practice at about 10 feet or so without breaking the heli i became less fearful of my attempts . I warmed up to it on one pack starting from 10 feet or so , id cut it go to zero pitch and then after a couple of bounces offt the grass ( a couple minor boom strikes , no damage ) I was able to get the timing and I pretty consistant after a full pack . i switched to a full pack and went a little higher and a little higher giving negative just like Finless said by the end of the pack I was doing them from about 60 feet up or so ( no boom strikes ) like landing on a cloud . the last auto on that pack was somwhat nessessarry as I was going to 60 feet to do anouther one My pack voltage dropped below my speed controls limit and I felt the unmistakable power drain I flicked throttle hold and just hung on to the ground . it was exhilerating , sorry no vids , but Ill post if i can get my freind with the cam out .

GLAD to hear your doing them and it is cool to hear I was able to teach you from my sim vid! BTW I was taught that way from others so I did not invent learning that way!

Hi All,

Just wondering what the best Helicopter in G3 is for praticing that is as close as possible to the TREX SE. I have downloaded the TREX from TREX TUNING for G3 and it seems a bit twitchy - if it is relistic no problem... but just wondering if there is anything closer to the mark.

Excellent videos Bob, You're right on the mark with that rudder segment. Funny, I'm a much better airplane pilot since taking up with helicopters. I never used my rudder stick except for ground steering. Now my planky turns are so much better. 'cept I keep coming off the throttle when inverted. How do you stop from doing that?

bob as a newby to this site and to heli flying your videos ane great dont ever stop making them im shure if you did a video on how to crap in a box we would study it intensely and then shoot pointers at each other when they did it wrong so what im trying to say is your doing a great job and thankyou so much for the hard work......also is there any videos on the basic 450xl assembly anywhere??

I have G2 with add ons 3 and being inexperienced I did not realize that the other helis were not as realistic as the Raptor 60. I will have to give that one a try.

I also have G3. Which is the best training heli here? I have been flying the Raptor 30 (I think) and the MX400.
