Yeah bud, I put it in hard! Still haven't gotten everything back together yet. I guess I'm just waiting on a 611 to come back from Futaba.

I'm thinking IRCHA hopefully for this summer. Other than that, if Clint holds his event I'll be there although it would be a bit of a drive for you. Also I think I'll be at the Helifreak Invasion in the fall which should be much closer if you have any plans for it.

By the way, how's your Stratus flying?

Stratus is flying great! I thought I was having engine problems but it turns out my old gv1 has been going bad so I have a multigov on the way I'm hoping to wring it out at MHA!

Not sure on the invasion yet, we will see...

We definitely need to fly again soon. As soon as I have something to take to the air, I'll let you know. All I'm waiting on are my electronics to come back from Futaba and a set of V-blades.

I also have a new toy that should be here sometime in the next week or so that I'll let you try out.

And done! Well, almost. Still waiting on V-blades to send me some blades and paddles. I borrowed these from a friend.

Nice apples - heli looks good too! Hard to decide whether to run the elevator/rudder cables over the fan shroud or up top mixing with the pushrods and bell cranks.

Any tips on tune up ? - I swash levelled by eyeball but finding a bit of tail lag in collective pumps - is this a trait of the heli which should be PrgMxd out or a setup prob?

Definitely. I've been flying with Art Hughes outside of Athens lately. You should come down when we get some free time. It should be fairly close.

I used to run them on top but was ALWAYS uneasy about being so close to the bell cranks. With this setup, there's really nothing for the rudder/elevator servos to get caught up in. Explain a bit more on the tail lag. As far as setup with the Stratus, I follow the manual like it's the gospel. I make sure that the servo arms are 90 degrees and verify I have no interaction at high and low collective. The final step after tracking the blades is just evening out positive and negative pitch.

Let me know what exactly you mean by tail lag when pumping the collective though as it sounds to me that your gain just might be a little low. But I know you 're an experienced pilot so I'd assume that's not the problem.

Dude, even more than that, you're welcome to fly it next time you see me. Just say something. That goes for Jared too.

Tail dropping a tad when pumping the collective - tail rock steady in yaw so gyro fine - I guess it's a bit of mixing so I'll get the head off and check out the swash level

Are you running the Spectrum servo that came with the DX7? I wouldn't use that on throttle! They don't really cope well with the vibration.

Yeah, that sounds like some elevator interaction. It can fairly easliy be mixed out although if it's small enough to not be able to see the swash move, you'll just have to fly, guess, adjust, fly and then see if it's worse or better.

Yes, you are correct on both accounts. Believe it or not, it's the least sketch spare servo I have right now but rest assured, I'm going to put a 9257 in there whenever I get around to ordering some stuff for my Furion.

I think the 9257 is too small to bolt into the frames for a throttle servo...I have one sitting waiting for my furion...

You WILL be at IRCHA

I'm either going to buy an adapter plate for it or just make one.
