Hey CPMBOY
I love the upgrades to your batt holder and tail. how well does the tail upgrade parts work? I can see how they would be tougher than plastic.

This evening I got the chance to test out the tail upgrade (microheli), and at my stage (still hovering), the tail hold very nice combined wt KBDD blade. I think it would be REALLY nice if I opt for the dual crank tail upgrades (also frm microheli). And...the ATD...its the 1st upgrade I've done on my bird.

I look forward to seeing the results... be sure to take some during the build so we can see how you end up routing stuff, especially the ESC lead. It would be good to see a similar photo set to mine but for Spektrum kit.

Default GREAT JOB

Steve,

You WIN the Heli Clean Wiring Contest dude. Great job. I am a noob with the same TRex 450 Pro 3GX V2 Super Combo. I have reached the point where it's time to connect the Servos,ESC & 3GX with the AR6210 6-Channel DSMX Receiver /Sat [SPMAR6210] I can't make heads nor tails from the manuals. Can you please tell me exactly how to connect these electronics ? Does the Servos& ESC go to the 3GX first or the Reciever ? I am totally confused.

Servos and the ESC connect to the 3GX. How you connect the rx/sats to the 3GX depends on the receiver. The manual shows which of the supplied leads to use for that.

Its from RCScrewZ ..at the moment I only replaced the body frames screws, others still align's. All are direct replacement, except for the head size, its bigger than Aligns and a bit heavy. Before replacing the screws, make sure u that the length of the originals and the new screws are the same. About the weight....for the (2.5x5)mm ...1 RCSz screw = 3 Aligns screw. I'll post some pics later.

All your wiring looks lice and clean especially with the nice wire wrap.. Where can you find that stuff at?

Not the prettiest job but I think it's functional.

I like her so much she got a new face. I don't know why it is but I think the SE V2's look so much better than the Pro's not that it really matters.

Default Noobie

Great pictures on your wiring and setup for the new 450 3GX. I have just purchased one and have 3 questions. (1) How do you connect to your battery at the same time you push the "set" button on the 3GX to do the setup/installation, especially with it in the position you showed and no way to remove the BEC power cable. (2) Will the battery strap going over the ESC heat sink reduce its effectiveness quite a bit. (3) With the heli sitting upright, how did you see the LED lights on the 3GX as you set it up and use it. Thanks for your help
