Looks like your mSR mated with a Syma S107.

Your canopy looks like an "Alien" head. Pretty cool.

Love the canopy. I see them online, but it looks like they come clear with the stickers. Did you paint it? If so, how did you make the window translucent blue like that? Again, great job.

Thank you.

I painted the canopy myself.
The canopy comes clear, so you can mark the points to drill for canopy grommetts.
It is provided with stickers and a mask for windows which must be internally applied before the painting (a bit difficult job).
After painting the fuselage, the mask has to be removed and the work can be completed with a light semi-coating paint spray that makes translucent window.
To finish the job you have to remove the clear external protective film and apply the stickers

Thanks for the comments! It still has the carbon tail in there. I flew with the gear "retracted" because the original batteries didn't have enough power to fly much or well so it needed to lose weight. I used a broken set of gear and clipped the legs off, just leaving the battery holder.

You need some Hyperion or Turnigy nanotech lipos to have extra power.
You could also try the Xtreme-production mCX lower blades. They are a little longer and they seem to have a little lift more.

How simple is it to put that fuselage on the MSR? Look's like the front half just snaps into place. But the rear requires more modifications?
Can you do a pictorial tutorial on it? Thanks!
This would look awesome with some LEDs.

It appears that you need to make new canopy holes, and re-install the grommets.

I actually meant to point out that I have since acquired Hyperion 130, and 160mah batteries as well as a Thunder Power160 and they all work wonders for the power issues and I have since returned to flying with full skids. The 130 Mah is beneficial due to it being lighter than the others but the long Hyperion 160 has the added advantage of sliding it all the way forward to help compensate for a fairly hefty rearward center of gravity with the MCX2 body on.

I will attempt to start a thread concerning the fairly simple build process and the issues caused by adding the full body. I was originally hopeful of using the MCX2 LED's but determined that using them was above my pay grade! Instead I removed them to lose more weight.

That is about it for the main canopy. I spent a bit of time looking at how the stock canopy fit the frame. Then tried to place the mcx canopy in the same position over the frame. When it was where it was supposed to be I squeezed the canopy onto the mounting rods to create a small bump to show where to drill the holes. Then I happened to have a drill bit just the right size. I actually got it all to work the first time which was good considering how much the MCX2 body costs. Then it is just a matter of moving the grommets. If a person stops here, you already have a much better looking MSR in my opinion. It is a great looking canopy with windshield and the colors!
