Default My flight progress :)

Hi!

This is my first steps
Esky Belt CP (0 min 24 sec)

At the second batt. I crached
Tail boom, main gear, tail sustain rod, horisontal tail blade, training gear... and of course main blades.

Now I have Towerpro SG90, new ESC and head lock gyro.
Once I found the "Controlling shaft set(EK1-0521)" was broken and I made
"Washout to Flybar Plastic link removal MOD" I am just hovering no difference

I made little tail mod, now the tail pitch moves all the way. There was binding towards the tail.

This is my 5th battery:
Belt CP - 5th battery (0 min 44 sec)

Now I am waiting the new head:

Can Dierwolf tell me about the head and the main shaft. Is it shorter than esky one. Or it direct fit?

I am happy

Best regards,
-Ilmar-

Hi Ilmar

Thats really good controlled hovering for 5 batteries practice, you are doing great

the Shaft in the new head is shorter than the belt shaft, but that doesn't matter as it still just reaches the bottom bearing on the belt.

The only thing is you will need to turn the shaft the other way up because the turned down section lines up with the top bearing on the belt if you don't .

That is an excellent head you have bought, the heli will fly much better with it

All the best Ian

Just thought, have you ordered links for the new head as it does not have any on the Photo?

Hi!

Thanks alot for information!

for Ian 777 I forget to order the links for the hed Maybe I can order it at the same place but it takes time.
Can You suggest what I can use? There is no flybar to... I think I must order it separately or can I use LHS and use some trex ones?

Best regards,
-Ilmar-

Yes, you can use a trex 450 flybar.

You can use the links you already have on the head. Just put them onto your new head. (I think) Give it a try, i'm sure it will work. I think other here hav edone the same.

You will need to buy new links. Trex ones will do fine I think they do a set that contains all the rods you need. If not copy the lengths off Trex head. Trex flybar will work fine too.

The stock Esky ones have a different size balls Jonny

Excellent progress for 5 batteries - I'd crashed 3 times by that point so was bogged down getting it setup again.

I'm just in process of fitting new coptex head, and forgot to order flybar weights, so don't forget them too!

I got my calipers out to measure width of coptex & e-sky flybars - the measurements I got were CopterX = 1.95mm (same as align t-rex), E-sky = 1.76mm. So the hole in middle of e-sky flybar weights will be to small to fit whatever t-rex compatible flybar you do get.

Good luck, and let us know if you get any more Q's?

Copterboy, I wouldn't bother with the flybar weights to be honest. They just make it more sluggish on cyclic. If you need to tame it down without them then you can always add some expo or d/r.

I took them off my copterX and it flies much better without.

Well I was going to say to get some of these http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=1846
they have the weights attached! I use these and my cyclic response is fast I'm using the Stock Tx but I have boosted my headspeed a lot! I've been doing some experiments w/headspeed lately and I have found more headspeed =better cyclic response! I love these paddles but I also have some w/out weights how do you get those to stay on without a grub screw?

Well at least I know now that I can try it without the weights, and dial in some expo or d/r and tune it to my liking. Probably would have taken days to figure it out and wasted a few batteries trying, so thanks for the suggestion's. Will hopefully fly in morning once I sort the binding problem out!!
