Default MKS DS95 output shaft

Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the output shaft from a DS95 servo?

I stripped one yesterday.

The upper case half came off as normal, the bearing is still on the shaft. should I use a puller on the bearing? After that is is easy to get the shaft out?

it should just pop out. May need a tiny bit of force to seperate.

I just changed mine out for the first time. The video was helpful - thank you. I decided to leave the bearing in the case (not the top bearing but the one at the bottom), mainly because I didn't know how to extract it. Please - how do you do so? I don't know what a bearing extractor is. Any tips? Thanks! (P.S. At $10 a pop, I'm curious why the shaft breaks. Isn't the point of titanium to not break? If it's a sacrificial part, then why use an exotic and expensive metal in the first place?)

They break the shaft to make sure nothing else is damaged in the gear train. It can be a pain trying to find every last broken bit of gear in some servos, and if you miss a small piece it can cause a in flight failure.

I have found the lower bearing to come out with the shaft but if it gets stuck i would likely check its ok and just reuse it.

+1

The break away is a clean fuse.

A flying buddy had a nasty cyclic jerk when he reached a certain pitch, quite strong and scary indeed. When he checked the heli, one servo had a tiny bit of a plastic gear stuck in another gear. It may get stuck in the grease and come unnoticed.
