Default Battery for the X5

Hi

Time to replace my old and tired batteries and I am looking for suggestions of what capacity will balance well with this heli.

I am running 4000 mah and for me it's seems to heavy and the COG is way off. I am looking for something 4000mah and below and what flight times are you getting.

Thanks!

I run glacier 4000s and fly sport/some mild 3D. I set my timer for 4 minutes but could easily get 4:30. I run 2350 HS

I have GensAce 4400 35C (711grams) and Lectron 5200s 50C batts (659 grams). Not sure how the 5200s are lighter, but they are. Both of these fit with the battery fence.

I am running governed at 2500 RPM and I get 4:30 of flight time if I come down at 3.7v/Cell. Both batteries feel about the same to me running governed. I like them because I can also use them in my Goblin 700.

I had to add a small amount of weight on the tail to get the CG to balance.

Not sure if you saw this, but there is a thread on X5 batteries: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=348274. It starts old, but gets newer towards the end

I'm currently running a Turnigy 3000mah 40C 6S and getting 4:30 of Sport and mild 3D. Putting back about 2000mah. Not sure what the head speed is but I'm running a flat 80% throttle curve.
