You're talking about a parallel charging board with EC3s? Or the balance board that came with your 4010Duo (which only has balance plugs on it)?

I haven't had either fail. But I'd expect them to be pretty durable. I'd talk to Progressive, their support is usually excellent, you may as well at least find out if they can help.

yeah im talking about the parallel board with the ec3's. the balance jacks on the printed circuit board inside the unit lifted and burnt. ive been asking around and had my batteries checked and there good so i dont know what happened or what could have happened to prevent it from happening again. ill call progressive tomorrow and see if maybe was a problem with the board, charger or... kinda weird and scary at the same time.

Most likely due to shorting or high currents on the balance connectors. Very easy to do. This is why boards are moving to a resettable fuse design on balance leads. Revolectrix pioneered this safety feature, now its pretty common. Progressive sells a modular board with self resetting fuses. Its a very nice unit. I have a couple. Its not as nice as the Revolectrix MPA. But its more flexible and you can set it for 2, 4, or 6 packs so it takes less room.
