Default Tail twitching as I increase the throttle

Hi guys,

I'm new here so apologies if I haven't got this right. I'm pretty much an RC heli beginner and have been learning on a Honey Bee V2.

The other day after a crash the tail was moving on it's own and I couldn't get it locked in adjusting the proportion/gain or using the trim. I replaced the 4 in 1 but it was still the same so figured it must be the tail motor. I've replaced that today and it's MUCH better, but I'm fairly certain it's still not right.

After adjusting the proportion/gain I've found the sweet spot between the tail twitching continually and it not staying straight. However it's still drifting to one side as I power up the throttle. If I hold it in a hover the tail stays straight and everything is good, but as I power the throttle up it moves slightly to one side, kinda drifting, and it's not always the same direction.

Increasing the proportional just makes it twitch all the time and decreasing it makes it even more sloppy.

Any ideas?

I am no pro but I believe since it is not direct drive or belt driven, this is normal since the tail has some lag. if you mean the whole heli moves left drift (roll left) then I remember nuttcraze talking about motor torque in one of his videos, it might be that.

Sound like early stages of tail motor failling. (I HATE) tail rotor motors!

May be the tail motor---the stock motors don't last long. If you want to enjoy the Bee, I suggest modifying it for the CP3 3 in 1, main and tail motors. Might as well Spektrumize it while you are at it.
