Default First flights on NX4

Today had my first flights on my NX4 seems to fly pretty nice, although I cannot get less then 2800 RPM on the head.

I set high stick on the Gaui gov magnets are correct & signal lead going to Aux2 on AR7200BX, Gov menu on DX18 set to Aux2 & flight modes. There is no change in any of the headspeed whether I'm at 30% or 80% I'm getting 2800RPM on the head, any ideas guys? v-curve set for idel1 at 75% and idle2 at 80%. I could run it on curves but rather not.

Mornin, I think you may have forgotten to set your throttle endpoints on the govenor after the manual setup, it is definatily not working for you.

I calibrated the throttle how it suggest to do in the manual. So something else must be happening.

If your carb settings are lean the engine will overspeed even with a governor. Check to see what fuel the previous owner was running as far as brand and nitro content. Cool Power runs much leaner than Rotor Rage for example. Or just start from the beginning and reset the carb to factory break in settings (mixture and high end needles) and go from there. And it doesn't hurt to get your settings right running throttle curves rather than the governor which can mask bad carb settings.

The carb is set to default settings. It is running very rich, I'm not sure of the fuel the previous owner ran however I will say this, I looked at the engine it it actually seemed brand new. I'm using rotor rage 30% on it.

It is running good but just constant over speeding although gov is setup correctly. I have a spare align gov might throw that on to test.

And I've always tuned with gov on my other nitro birds, so don't see why this one would be any different.

Default gaui

you mentioned you have your throttle set for V-curve at 75%...? or do you mean 75% straight across
Did you set your Gov Gain in TX? try lowering down and go from there
