Default Heli jumps before soft start?

Like in the title, as soon as I release throttle hold, the heli jumps with a sudden torque input and then the motor starts to spool up slowly. This is with a YGE80 in a Protos500 on the older MSH motor. Does anybody have a suggestion for why this might be happening?
It doesn't happen on my YGE60 in the miniP with 6s Scorp motor. Not sure if this is ESC or motor related?
Cheers, B

Bump. Anyone got any ideas?
I changed the motor out, so the issue is definitely with how I have the yge set up. It's still doing a 180 jerk before going into a soft start

You can try reducing startup speed.
I had the same issue, but with an external governor.
Going from auto(1-32%) to 2% startup speed (works with my scorpion 2520-1360kv) fixed it, now it barely budges at the beginning of spoolup.

Sounds good.. could you point me in the right direction to do this? Do I need a programme card?

Yep,
You'll need the progcard appropriate for your YGE.
A lot more stuff can be tweaked than is possible with the basic Tx setup... makes it much simpler.

Cool. Thank you. I'll see if I can get hold of one this weekend.

Oh yeah I've always done it with the prog card, it's so much simpler.
The HK one for the YEP esc's works as well and its 6$ : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ming_Card.html (it's what I use)

It was that one, but I just changed to the newer Scorpion motor and have the same issue.
I messaged a mate who has a prog card and he agrees with the above. When he's back in the country I'll borrow his card... In the meantime I think I'll get that yep card, top tip, thanks
