Default Fury 55 tail servo location question

Hi all,
I'm researching which nitro I want to buy. Initially I thought I was going to get a .90 size (as indicated in my sig), but the more I read the more attracted to the .50 size I become. Primarily due to cost of fuel. I'm considering a few models in addition to the Fury 55, Velo 50, JR Vibe 50 Nex, etc. With regards to the Fury, does the location of the tail servo present any issues regarding the oil from the exhaust? If yes, what are the issues? Shortened servo life, performance? I did a quick search, but didn't find what I was looking for. I've noticed most models use a foward location for the tail servo (including the new MA Whiplash).

Thanks all,

Chad

If cost of fuel is an issue, go for a .90 gasser

No issues, even with a well used servo. Just keep it clean.
Most fullsize servos have seals to prevent oil from getting in them.
Hell, ive seen guys tear up helis without a canopy on and come down soaked in nitro oil!

No issues here either, my tail servo comes in soaking wet sometimes and just wipe it off at end of the day. I took it a part before and not a trace of oil was in there. The seals mentioned above do a great job.

Sounds like it's not an issue, great. Thank you.
