4 grams lighter is great, but that tail rotor diameter is going to be approx 7mm smaller than the 450X tail. Bit more gain and I spose it should hold well enough for some, myself included.

Oh yeah, and what about the chinese weights for those grips? Longer bolt with a nylock nut perhaps?

I had 12 flights with mine today and had no problem with the bolts holding the tail blades, just make sure you got lock tight in there!

My thought was to add the nylock nut and maybe one of the stock chinese weights under the head of the bolts to act as chinese weights. I had no concern for the bolts coming loose.

Great! Thanks.... I must have this!

Gotta agree, those damn spacers (stock) are really annoying.

Nice job on the review I feel more at ease now as I should have mine in a week or so. The smaller diameter tail sounds good to me as less likely the tail strike the blades. Also good to here that you can now up your TCs without the tail exploding.

I wonder how these tails will fly with 60mm blades?

If Mike or Jeff end up stocking these parts, I'll probably give them a try. However I'm sure someone else will put them to the test way sooner than I.

Don't know about Mike, but I'll be stocking them .... just waiting for our Atom 500 CF skid project to be ready to ship with them.

I had a friend test out 62mm tail blades with the complete hawk RC tail upgrade, and with the High headspeeds he is running (3000rpm +). He said the tail performed better with the shorter tail blades, because he could lower the tail gain. And also much less loading on the tail. So 62mm seems to be good for head speeds between 3000-3200 and soft 3d

A video will be comming soon.

Cheers
Alex
