Default Anyone using a ZYX-S in a quad?

I have a ZYX-S and have loaded the version 3.02 firmware into the main unit and also the new 3.02 programmer firmware into the programmer so should be all ready to go.

I have setup using standard connections with a 6 channel receiver and it all seems to be okay, but when I try and lift off something is not quite right so I need to go back through my setup and see if I can work out what I have done wrong.

Any comments from anyone that has tried using the quad setup what be appreciated.

Cheers.

Pete

Taort added a folder containing quad settings in a version of the 3.0 PC program. I`m not sure if you have it because you may have downloaded it from there site before they added it.

Thanks for that, I did already have them, easy to load them up but you can't really see what they do.

I just placed an order for DJI FLAME WHEEL F450 ARF KIT (W/MOTORS, ESC & PROPELLERS) and another ZYX-S. Hope to have it all mid week and will try to have it setup by the weekend.

Great, look forward to hearing how it goes for you, please post in the multi rotor forum on how it all goes. I am hopeful they will improve the software for setting up the quads in the next version.

I hope to try setting it up this weekend. I will keep you posted. Did you ever get it working for you?

No not working but I have been working on a DJI330 quad Naza that I test flew today so have not spent any more time on it, I am also going to try some other ESC's when they come into stock and see how that goes on an extra DJI450 frame I now have. Not in a hurry since I have a couple of others to fly for now and hopefully some others will give it a try. It is certainly an interesting unit, I may just end up doing a FBL conversion on my GT250 or Trex 450 and see how it goes on that.

I have been wanting to try a Quad for awhile. So after reading about your problems I decided to give it a try.

I have put a couple of batteries through the new quad, just basic flying in the backyard so far but with a Naza controller it is excellent.

I have some Plush 12 amp ESC's and 100 watt 1100kv motors coming to have a play on my other DJI450 frame with the ZYX-S or my FF board or both or maybe on one of my HK V3 boards as well.

I finally made some test hovers in the house since we have some crappy weather right now. I had no problems with it flipping over. It is very sensitive but that can be fixed.

Taking video will be hard since I fly alone. Sooner or later I will find away to video it.

Wondering what radio mode you guys are using? I've tried both helicopter and airplane mode and get nothing from the motors, I hear the 4 ESC's beep when I plug in the battery, but get absolutely nothing from the motors no matter what I do!
