Default zyx S2 Dead band settings

I'm still having trouble setting up the tail, one thing I've noticed is that the tail servo (Align ds525m) is getting quite warm just from hovering, I've read that this can be caused by the dead band being to low, what should it be ?
this is what it is at the moment :-
RC DB 40
SENSOR DB 3

Ball link about 12mm out from centre

Is the rotor Deadband too high also ? :-

RC DB40
SENSOR DB 3

Cheers
Martin

I have rc db 15 and sensor db 3. I haven't noticed overly hot servos, but then again I haven't checked them for a while. Will do it after today's flights.

Nothing hot at all on 1 450 and 2 250s. One tail servo (emax es08, probably doesn't qualify as a tail servo) was a little warmer. I was flying fast circuits, piros, pitch pumps.

okay, thanks for your help.
I'll try increasing the sensor deadband to 6 and see what happens.
Did you see much difference decreasing the rc deadband from 40 which is default to 15 ?
thanks
martin

I never flew at 40. I just read in a sticky about using 15, but that may have applied only to ZYX-S on older firmware. I just put it at 15 and forgot about it till now.
