Help Wiring Questions
Align 700L Dominator, 850mx, Castle edge 160, Futaba Cgy 750. Using MKS High voltage Servos 960 cyc 990 tail
Can I take a 2s lipo, split the power lead into two outputs, run one to receiver battery input and the other to an open connection in the CGY 750 ? A little concerned about that little gauge S-Bus wire carrying the whole load to the servos Then what do I do With The leads from the esc that was meant to power the receiver pack ? I know I cant connect them with the other power source. I hope I explained what Im trying to do correctly. I been out of the loop for years, Last Heli I built And Flew was Excell 60 Im 56 years old now, I need something to wake me up and and scare the crap out of me !!!! I'll keep the throttle curve on the low side !!!! Thanks for your help, John |

You can certainly split the power however you like. One option if all the ports on the CGY750 are taken up is to use a Y lead on one of the servos, and connect your second power lead to this.
One thing to note, you cannot plug power into the Rsen port on the CGY750. Any other open port is fine. The Castle Edge 160 does not have have a BEC built in, it's not supplying any power to the receiver. Plug this into Channel 3 or your TH/E2 port on the CGY750. |

I have three helis all running HV servos through CGY-750s where I only run power to the CGY-750 via the SBUS cable and have never had any issues. I do run two power lines to the receiver because I didn't have any open connectors on the CGY-750 to run power to.

How do you supply power to the receiver? Do I run a 7.4 lipo straight to channel 3 on the Futaba R7008SB? |
