Let's take it easy. I don't consider myself that posting that 3 or 4 times this on all the mass thread s part of this forum could be considered as SPAM. I didn't even noticed that I did so, as I was excited about the TREX500... It's not worst than advertising on ebay links or stuff like that. You'll notice that bunch of posts give links to other website. Maybe I don't really get it ... christmas magic, or maybe it's my english understanding that's quite hard Anyway you're the boss, I won't post it anymore but maybe I'll advertize it in my signature ? Just kiddin' Merry christmas and congrats for the videos, I really enjoy watchin' them. Cédric

Thanks Bob. In fact I really want to say you thanks (even If I spam it everywhere), because in france we have a rc heli community but not as "big" or even as "purist" as helifreak federates. Everyone here, just wanna get the finest heli settings and new paddles and new tuning trex ! I'm like that.
Every member but you just keep our passion at the top level. Take care,

I would think you might want to actually fly it with the 9650's and then do a comparo later with the other servos. People would probably like to know your impressions both ways...

I do not know if I have missed it, but are you going to use the exact same servos as recomended by Align? And what receiver are you going to use?
T.i.a. Peter PS: Sorry if you have mentioned it before, and I have missed it. |

Servos
I have been very suprized to hear all the people talking about putting the 9650s in the cyclics on this new heli...arn't you guys scared of stripping the gears on these servos? After my first few crashes on my 450 (and having to open them up and replace the gears) I vowed never to fly anything less than metal gear servos on the cylic again. Doesn't that worry some of you?

Yes I hate stripping gears but my Hitec wont be here until like Saturday best case so I want to continue shooting the build vids and right now I am at the step of installing servos. I only have 9650's right now!

I hear ya Bob, makes sense...I was just curious why others were using the 9650s for the cyclic. Sure they were a great tail servo until the 9657 came out, I just wouldn't use them on the cyclic of any heli
I curious what you will think of this heli once you are done building and your flying it. How it compares to the same sizes of the Lepton and Logo Heli's.

Short answer is: some of us don't choose heli components based soley on how well they handle a crash...

I'm just excited to see the darn thing being built! I do like the idea of doing a comparo between the two different sets of servos. Crash durability is not tops on my list but performance is...besides thats what the 450 Crash-Hawk is for. But in the end, build on Bob...we need more!
