I'm with you airplanejunkie, every time I put on a nice canopy the machine goes in on the next flight Terry has had great fun at the expense of my (often heavily) cracked canopies over the years.

I think I have that same paint scheme on my Raptor 90SE, less the Bergen logo of course.

Cool! No horizontal fin? Also, can you tell us about your tail control pushrod supports? Look nice.

Nope Horizontal fin is just added weight on the back for no benefit (to my flying style anyhow). You can ask Terry, he's been laughing at my "finless" crusade for a while, but if you check the rear of his EB you'll see I'm starting to wear him down

The support clamp is a Quick UK unit for an Align. It's actually 1mm too big (Align uses wider boom) so I use a thin piece of gasket material to take up the extra slack on the 44. I convinced Budd over at Quick UK to make finless clamps for the Spectra G last year (nothing else was close to the odd size MA uses). I bet if enough of us ask for one for the 44 (or other Bergens with the same boom size) he'll start making them. FYI, for you EB guys, the Quick UK boom clamp for a JR (Ergo/Vigor/Voyager) fits your boom.

The tail push rod supports are Century, from a Predator. The Bergen control rod is wider so just don't use the inserts. I lined the guides with velcro (fuzzy side) to ensure the rod doesn't bounce around, but the 44 runs so smooth I doubt you need to bother.

And the 44 has thrown those suckers off yet?

Hasn't thrown them off yet. I've been feeding it copious volumes of kerosene for it's medicinal anti-rejection properties. So far so good

Further crimes against the brand where committed today. I noticed a hum or other noise (not really a buzz but odd none the less) from the tail today. I can't tell if it's normal tail blade noise (this is my only heli with plastic tail blades, it could just be the noise they make) or if something was reverberating back there so I added a boom support bridge tonight. The bridge is a JR/KSJ part (from a long dead Vigor I had years ago) so the 44 (like most my stuff) is becoming a melting pot of parts from various manufactures.

The KBDD tail blades do have a distinctive noise to them, takes some getting used to...

Well you should know...... YOU PAINTED IT!!!.... you have a redo in mind for it? BTW it did get a lot of looks at IRCHA Shawn. Jeff seems quite happy with it other than it is not very visible in the air.

no re do. waaaaaaaaaay too much work to strip down and start from scratch. 3 coats of clear on that piggy alone. it can be done, but it involves a tone of laquire thinner, and a huge mess.

he has another which i will work on over winter, it will match his spectra.

But visibility was ot a requirement as much as looks, unfortunately i did not achieve what i was aiming for.

Broke the plastic thingy into two pieces that hold the tail gyro and borrowed some parts from my TREX600:

Good thing it fit, I just hope that it wont fly while in the air.

Did some a little bit of tail works here and several parts were barrowed from different helis sorry for hijacking the Bergen.

How much nose-weight did you need to compensate?

I haven't check how much weight I put coz I dont have a weighing scale right now. I just add some weights until the heli is happy. Actually, I'm using a small box and put some tools (allen wrench, screw driver bits and etc.) inside as a weight.

Finally got one worthy of posting:

Canopy is a vinyl wrap done by HF user Kustom. Fins match the lid as will the tanks once I get around to getting them ready to wrap.
