Default Hitec HTR8725

Ok, so after the help from you guys saying that $150 was too much for a Eclipse 7, I found the HTR8725 for $179 with the spectra module and battery.

I guess again... opinions on the radio? There isn't much info out there.

Again, I'm not ready to goto 2.4 yet.

I guess one question I have is any TX compatible with any RX as long as they are on the same frequency?

The radio is OK. Lots of programming options, but a bit hard to figure out. Only 7 model memories. When you select which model, you do it only by number, then you have to check the name to make sure you have picked the right one.

It will work with most Rxes, as it allows you to change the shift.

But overall, you are MUCH better off going 2.4. You can get DX6i Txes that people are selling out of Blade 400 kits for $100 (check the classifieds here, on RC Groups and RC Universe). Rxes are about $40 each (Light Flight RC is where I buy mine).

So for the same money, you can get a nice 2.4 Tx and two Rxes.

But if you get the Hitec, let me know, I have a bunch of 72 MHz Rxes for sale. 3 - Hitec 05S Micros, 2 - Electron 6, and several Berg 5 ch.

Thanks for the help!

I ended up going with a DX7 instead. Great choice in my eyes
