Default New to FBL, needing some guidance!

Ok, this is my first fbl heli. 6hv with Skookum 540 and YGE 90hv. I want to use the governor on the Skookum. Do I need a RPM sensor? The YGE has two leads coming off of it. One says ProgCard and the other says Reciever. I was under the impression that I didn't need a RPM sensor. I am so lost lol.

Nope. The newer YGE 90 and up all have built in phase sensors ... take a peek at the manuals (sheets of paper) that came with the ESC. It tells you exactly which is your sensor port, and you want it plugged into IO-C

Here's a video from Skookum on setting up your governor:

Thanks Jeff! I forgot all about the videos. I'm in a bit of a fog after spending the last few hours at the bench. I bought the unit used and didn't get any manual with it, and with Helifreak acting up I was pretty much on my own. I'll go check out the videos... thanks again.

Yeah, they don't ship with the manual (usually they are stored on the memory card for the SK720) ... you typically get a slip of paper with the URL on it for the manual.

Let us know how it goes!
