Yes Tom. Using the sk gov on both 7hv's. tried the yge gov store on the e720 and it didn't even compare to the sk.

Using the kontronik s one in the warp and. X2 as its too easy.

Ps. I have 1 of my yge 120's for sale on Rcha. You can have it at a special price?

Yep ! Think it's worth turning off? Could be a good idea to remove another variable. Get the basic gov control working without any other influence!

Gov gain depends on the head speeds/ motor ect. Weaker motors seem to need higher gains. Mine is a high torque motor and it bounces like crazy at 30+. I would have thought that below 20 would be a bag of s*!t. I find 22 will keep the head speed up ( although lots of reports saying below 30 gain the head speed never gets to the speed set in the software!) but it's lagging badly, on a par with the built in gov of the hw. I have re routed my Hyperion sensor. I'll try the hobby wing sensor next. Last roll of the dice will be a rip off YEP esc from hobbyking as its cheap as chips just to see what's going on. I would have changed everything in the signal chain by then.

I have tried something.
See pic below.
I lowerd the Over ramp. and raised the high ramp.
And it seems to be gone. And looks like I can turn up the main gain.
I was in my yard so no 3d flight, but when i pitch pump and let off the head it does drop headspeed. Idk if thats normal.
Guys might have luck trying to change these settings as I did.

I have this very same problem on my trex 450 pro . using the HW rpm sensor and sk540 internal gov. I just finally gave up and went with the gov on my YEP esc instead.

Perhaps one of sponsor pilots and shed some insight as to why this is happening on the sk540 gov

The 540 governor works great on Scorpion and CC esc in external governor mode. However we are looking into the issues people are having with HW esc. We will be doing more test and will try our best to find a solution for it asap. Sorry for the hassle everyone has gone thru.

I had a tail wag on my Warp 360 using sk720 gov w/logging off. using the YGE esc.
I discovered that the tail wag went away after reseting the esc high/low throttle ends...where the LED on the esc goes out when at full throttle.
When the led was still on at full throttle..i had the tail wag w/gov on..

just something to look at using the yge esc..if that is an issue with anyone...

Mr Alivn!

I think you guys should make me a consultant test pilot seeing as I seem to run head long into every issue going with the sk! Lol thanks for the heads up! Do you know if the yge esc are having any issues?

I'm on the standard 10t. The hw software calc says 80% throttle is 2200ish and its fine. I have idle 2 at 2200 and idle 1 at 1900. The tail fidget is at both so not an overhead issue.

Alivn above is the main man for skookum test piloting so its pretty much a sk software to hw issue. (Alivn put the tuning guide together and I also looked up some of his flight vids and he's not too bad..................; )

Interesting. Any idea what the High Ramp and Overdrive settings do? I believe the Low Ramp is for the softstart, but could be wrong.

Default Test.

Ok,
So I tested the gov today. with gain at 24,(tail was still wagging a little bit,)
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RDTMOtBtxs[/ame]
It is consistent in stuff that requires alot of movement, but when you let off the head, you can tell it isnt working so well, Which is fine for now, its due to low gain. Once Alvin and the Team over at Skookum figure it out this thing will be a freaking beast.
I am very happy with the unit overall, once the Gov is 100%. The unit will be one of the best out.

A little birdie pointed me here.

http://www.rchelination.com/forum/sk...atter-wsk-gov/

So although my gov overhead should be enough on a 10t, an 11t pinion may sort it till a firmware update is avalible. If you have a look at the main skookum thread there, there is also a post by the same guy talking about the notorious elevator bounce some (me ) have had. This chap is a new team tester and like Alvin a very helpful chap indeed!

Thanks guys for the info and I hope you and sk find a solution.
