John Benario is probably the most knowledgeable guy in the hobby when it comes to RC heli engineering and trouble shooting.. I miss seeing him at La flyins when he lived there...

Carey, you have probably said what fuel you are running, are you running camper fuel in the 15?
The more i think about it with that sleeve, you can do some awesome intake timing with the sleeve even more than the zenoah ... You need to try that asap... |

There is already a 90 conversion kit on the market for the Trex 600.
That would be a perfect fit for this engine. Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2 |

Hey Bill
#1 afaik, this is the only GT15 currently in the US and its their motor so I've not been too keen to try anything they don't approve. At this moment there are no parts if I hurt it. So I'm running it with 87 octane gasoline and HP2 oil. Alan has been bugging me about doing some port changes to it...............see #1 Anyway the point is to demonstrate what any buyer can do with the motor out of the box. There'll be plenty of time to tweak on it.

Bugging is a strong word, suggestive pestering is more like it.

Mr. Dobashi joined the F3C contest with GT15HZ. The contest was especially for flybarless helicopter. He used triple-blade for the main rotor.

I'm desperate to know when this will be released and the price! I currently building my Trex 700 and want to get it in the air with this engine by late spring. I'm really hoping I won't have to wait too long for this engine.

I'm hoping this will lead to conversions of the 22 and 33 versions.

Any word on a price?
I wanna put this in my 700 heli for AP, but now I'm wondering if it'll have enough power to lift the camera setup. wonder if I should just go with something like a Zenoah 26cc...

Hey Jetbuilder
I saw some preliminary pricing a couple of months ago but Tower hasn't posted anything about it yet so I'm not going to start a controversy about it in case its changed lower or higher. Its probably fair to say it will be in the price range of the modified zenoah motors.

I hope also like Carey Shurley, but it is a bit more pricey I think. Infinity hobby start to sell it from 589 USD. If it drops to around 450-500 USD, then may be possible to purchase.

I saw two different prices, one with no muffler and the other with the Powerboost
I should have a Hatori muffler for it in a few days

Yes it is with power boost muffler. Without mufler it is 507 USD. It is still expensşve and I think muffler is a must for the power.
