Only missing feature still is to have announcement for the model name in case of changing model or turning on the transmitter. That would still be a great option to have.
Maybe Jeti has mercy and will add it as a future. If I overlooked it in the settings - I would appreciate any pointing to where it is.
Agreed on the missing feature! I would really like to have it announce the heli when I power up or changed model.

FYI, I skipped update 2.20 and my sticks were definitely off until I calibrated.

See my previous post. But I know you saw that before, not sure if you ended up being able to do it.

It didn't do what I wanted it to do.

And once you re calibrate it is a general config, it should be ok for every model?

OK -> found a bit of a work around for the model announcement. Not perfect but better than nothing.
I have mine setup to require throttle hold on when staring new model. That flight mode I have setup with message that includes the heli name. Since 2.20 when switching models and/or starting the transmitter the system announces the flight mode massed on your assigned file.
That is cool since now it does say what model I have chosen.
Still just is a work around but a doable and better than the options before (at least for me).

I have 4 models setup that way and will record announcement s for the rest next week. Just thought some might like to know.

Will have to try it sounds simpler than my original way

Every time you hit throttle hold it reads that announcement?
And do you have to flip the switch to TH on startup to get the announcement?

Yes it makes the announcement every time when switching to throttle hold. and the TH switch has to be in flipped when start up the radio. I have a few initial values required anyway and TH is one of them.

For those reasons it is a work around. Still a work around with values that I use anyway since I want to have TH on when I switch to new model, before I power up the machine ...

What is new is the fact that the announcement of the flight mode thats currently setup is made every time you startup the radio and every time you switch to a new model. When starting up the radio it plays the sound from system greetings first followed by the flight mode. That actually made me put the model name and some other fancy stuff on my TH flight mode.

I couldnt find this in the thread referenced earlier. for announcing the models name or the helicopter name:

Create a sequence, set to trigger on the MAX logical switch. Otherwise the sequence is "empty"

The logical switch MAX fires off when the transmitter starts up, or when the model changes.

Add a sound on event for the sequence ( select the a----b control on the screen to see the sequences. ) . Give this sound on event a 1 or two second delay, because if the "receiver bound" system sound fires, you won't hear the models name.

My receiver bound wav file says " receiver bound, please verify that this is the correct model for the helicopter" ( I use yakitome.com to create the voice wav files)

I always turn on the receiver first. That way the ESC cannot arm until I turn on the transmitter,

when I turn on the transmitter, , first I hear the receiver bound wav file, and then the model is announced

Now you have model announcement on startup.
