Default Micro Heli take off problem

I recently got a wltoys v930 brushless rtf (I love it) however I have a problem taking off. I cant get the heli to take of smoothly. Even the slightest throttle up outputs to much power and spins the whole heli. I am using the wltoys transmitter and I have tried to turn the trim down all the way but still same problem. I am not sure if its just the way it is, a problem with the heli, or a problem with the transmitter. I cant give it just a little power to get the blades going, any throttle on the transmitter sends a big burst of power to the brushless.

make sure that:

1) Trims on the transmitter are at center positions

2) Tail motor is turning - and turning the correct direction

Yeap just tried those things. It had this problem right out the box. The brushless motor seems pretty hard to turn by hand, not sure If this has anything to do with it.

My suggestions were very generic...I don't own or have ever flown a WL heli, so I cannot comment on what else the problem might be

That is basically the same thing as the Axe 100ss. It is made by Nine Eagles. The spinning is something you wont be able to get rid of. On mine the only way to combat it was to either let it spin until its in the air and then it would straighten out or hold the rudder while taking off. Basically it comes down to poor design and it will never go away. Every one I have ever seen does the same thing. My Axe 100ssl which is the same heli with lighted blades is waiting for my next trip skeet shooting. I have owned two Heli-Maxx (Heli-Maxx is a rebadging of Nine Eagles as is WL Toys and many Walkera helis) helis and I had problems with both. I will never touch Nine Eagles/Heli-Maxx/Walkera/WL Toys again. My MD 530 would only get about 2 minutes of flight before dropping to ground effect hover even with brand new packs. Both the Axe 100ssl and the MD 530 would both lean really bad in a hover. I had the board replaced on the MD 530 but it made no difference. Blade owns the micro market so please Nine Eagles do the hobby a favor and disappear.

Yes mine also dropped out of the sky, but I was using smaller batteries than it came with so I thought that was the issue.

I also had a blade mcpx v2 and it did the same thing.

I had a good experience with my wl toys v911 so I thought this would also be good. I love the way it flies but the take off and the drop out of the sky issue is annoying. Soooo im not sure what to do now...order another one? Get another brand?

Whoa...you cannot seriously compare the mCPX to the WL/Walkera/etc...

I flew a simple stock mCPX today thru 6 batteries and never had an issue...figure 8's, flips and rolls without a single tail blowout

Course...I have quite a few of them (My signature is lagging at 15) so I have a few tricks in My DX9 to solve the common issues

I'm not trying to compare. I am just saying I had the same problem with the mcpx (brushed) I had.

Yeah thats definitely not par for the course for Blade and they have real customer support too. The difference in performance between Blade and the others is laughable. The Nine Eagles helis I have had all felt like someone just gave up mid way through the design process and just shipped it anyway. The sad thing is that I don't think anything is wrong with the airframes themselves. They just need much much much much better flight controllers.

I notice the brushless motor on the heli is very tight and not sure if this has anything to do with it.

I posted a thread like this already but It was in the wrong part of the forum so if you see it please excuse it.

It will start spinning as the back motor does not kick in immediately, found that on the MCPX as well. You can try to add some rubbers on the skids to make it less slippery or if you have a rubber mat laying around somewhere you can try to take-off on that.

LOL...

believe it or not, the actual number has more than doubled since I last updated My signature

It's just too much to bear to see the mCPX go away, so I've become a hoarder

It seems that the brushless motor Is so tight that it takes a lot of throttle to get it going which is what causes the blades to spin to fast. Is a brushless motor suppose to be tight?

So no one knows what might fix this problem? Maybe a different motor?

Its not fixable. Its just a trait of the heli. Its an inherent flaw in the firmware that is built into the flight controller. To fix it would require rewriting the firmware to boost the tail rotor speed during takeoff. It is not just yours. They all do this.
