I am going to need a little help here. I basically have been visiting this forum since I noticed the advertisement for the Avant Mostro and placed one on preorder. I will admit that I have followed the release and have commented in the Mostro forum quite often. I have always paid retail price for all of my helis and have never been a rep for anything. I am not quite sure what the definition of trolling is but when I see comments of interest regarding the Mostro that I have on preorder I have posted a number of times.
The comments about a $50 price increase that could very well be the entire profit margin on the Avant Mostro did seem out of line to me as a business man especially when the comment included reference to spending huge amounts of money on 4 other helis. I have a large number of other helis from other manufacturers and have no prejudice for any manufacturer, but I will admit that I felt bad when Miniature Aircraft closed as I have had a number of their products, and I am excited to see that Avant is releasing what could very well be an excellent Heli by an American manufacturer. Therefore my comment regarding American made. I apologize if what I did was considered trolling and I'm sure I won't' be commenting much in the future, especially if my Mostro arrives soon as I expect to be enjoying it rather than reading about it. Definitely bagging me one of these, the one thing that I don't like though is the fact that the ESC has to sit so close to the motor, if that esc slips back in a mishap you're bound to lose the capacitors & for me I never like mounting my ESCs underneath.
Once I've got one in my grasp I should be able to figure something out though.

Another Mostro ready for domination for the 2014 flying season! Would have been done a day sooner if it wasn't for USPS delaying the package

Building the Mostro thread
Here's a thread where we show how the Mostro's DFC Head is built. We posted this thread in our support forums too.
Any questions please direct them to our team pilots. They are the ones that monitor both the Avant site forum and this forum and answer questions and if in doubt they contact the factory for advice. They will be able to help with any questions related to the build. Hope you guys enjoy this thread and its updates. Regards, Avant RC. RigidCore Dampener Install the inner O-Ring Install teh outer O-Ring Insert the RigidCore Dampeners inside the Yoke with the round edge facing into the yoke. Use the spindle as a helping tool. You can use grease n this step too. Insert the Spindle in place Correct way to set Thrust bearing diameters. Use a M3x14 and a M3x10 to install the DFC pitch arms. Install the arms. Use a drill to insert the threaded rod into the thick Ball Link Install the Ball link into the DFC rod. Install the M3x8 round head screw using an M3 washer. Insert the M3x12 screws into the clamp bolt holes. Install the bolt into the grip until you get to install the main blades. |

NICE! One question though, can you now adjust the pitch on that plastic pitch arm? Or is it a case that everything is predefined to get your 0 degrees?

Is everyone going for the DRC head?
Originally I wanted the non DFC but after seeing the vid of the ultra low headspeed and the fact it looks better, I'm going for a DFC head

The hole in the delrin rod is for the factory to pre-install it, you will still need to pop the ball link off and adjust it conventionally. The follower arm however adjusts how you were describing, since it is a turnbuckle style.
