I think.... as I recall... it was explained on the channel assignment screen area.

Don't ask me to remember my vids from a year ago
I sometimes have to watch my own vids if I have not done something in a long time. Seriously.... My own vids help me sometimes answer a question when I need to and don't remember 100%....

I am getting older and cannot remember everything like I use to

Bob

Realize all radios at end point or travel adjust at 100 is 100. Or darn close to it. The A9 is no different. If the FBL unit tells you to set the travel adjust or end points to something, you should do it just like JR or Futaba.

Make sense?

Bob
Yes, exactly why I set the channels like that. I did it on my 450 and it worked out great.

No question, just wanted to be specific to make sure my settings were okay.

Makes perfect sense.
Thanks Bob

Hi, I have a problem with the telemetry of my Aurora.

I connected my optima 9 via channel 3 to my esc, which has got an internal ubec. The esc is powered with my 3s lipo.

My Aurora now shows the voltage of my ubec, which is 5,2 v. But im more interested in the voltage of my lipo.

Is there a work around?

Thx

If you want the voltage of your 3S Lipo to be displayed on the A9, you need to connect the 3S lipo directly to the SPC port on the optima 9 instead of the jumper.

Now you will get the telemetry of the Lipos voltage not the BEC.

ESC remains connected the way you have it to power the servos.

But the receiver part of the Optima 9 is now powered directly by the Lipo

----
You should of received with the Optima 9 a wire with only red and black wires and a servo connection on one end. That wire is supplied to power the SPC port directly from your Lipo... Note the SPC port can handle up to 35 volts.

BUT ONLY the SPC port can handle up to 35 volts, so make sure you plug high voltages to the SPC port only.

Over the past 2 weeks, I've been downloading and reviewing all Finless Bob videos on the Aurora 9. There is an amazing wealth of information in the videos. I had no idea the A-9 was this capable and I've had it for almost 18 months! I'm sure Hitec has sold a ton of A-9's just based on this thread! Thanks Finless!

First off a massive thank you for the setup vids for the A9 they are great.

My question, I'm flying T-Rex 550 on 3G with the stock GP780. I'm getting tail wag when pushing into idle up (80% throttle and above) I've tried adjusting gain via the radio from 51% all the way up to 80% in 5% increments but nothing changes, do I need to adjust the gyro end points on the travel adjust, or is there something else I'm missing?

Cheers.

Disconnect the link off the tail servo and see how much effort is require to change the tail pitch slider from one end to the other. There should be very little effort required. My tail pushrod guides were causing binding, so I replaced it with the V2 carbon pushrod.

Also the blade links to the pitch slider were binding, and I read about problems with the pitch slider bush, so I replaced the pitch slider and control arm with the CNC Helicopter 500/600 parts.

I hope this helps.

Thanks, I already have the carbon pushrod as the first metal pushrod just seemed to bend and not be very efficient, I've just stripped the tail links and you were right, I have lock tite in the bushings, so they've been replaced and I'm off out for a test flight, will report back.

Hi
Well ,............... I have accomplished a goal .
Here was the plan .
I modified and assembled a TopFlite Giant P-51. RTF , except for the radio programing . For my servises , I accepted an Align 450 SE , Heli . I purchaced , second hand radio for the heli . The customer had the radio programed to the heli , for a first time flyer . That was it , I was hooked . I enjoyed going out to the back yard and fly , I didn,t have to pack everything up , and go to the field ( which , sometimes was a pain ) . It,s a plug and go fly situation , I loved it . I bought an Align 450 Sport Combo , last January . ( It,s still in it,s original box ) To-gether with an AirWolf ( Bell 222 ) fusaloge . I also bought a Hobby King 450 heli , that I didn,t pay very much for . The reason for the Hobby King heli , was to set it up , to my Aurora 9 . This was to learn the programming and to acustom myself with heli programming . After much reading and understanding of the mechanics of a heli , I have succesfully programed my Aurora 9 to the Hobby King heli . AND IT HOVERED FOR THE FIRST TIME, ON THE FIRST TRY [][][][][][] I also did some scale curcuits . I still have some vibrations to remove , but I,m over the hill . Fine tunning is all thats left
This is a testement to how easy the radio was to program . One of the , " MAIN " reasons why I bought it . Hitec took the pain out of programming . I could have , " NEVER " done this with the other makes , forget it .
I feel better now [][]
BTW ,..... a lot of this success go.s to Finless Bob ( Bob White ) of Heli freaks
Happy New Year
Michel

Reporting back. All is good, tail wag is gone in idle up, amazing that such a small amount of locktite can cause such a big wobble!

Thanks for your help!
