Default Why won't my 450 increase power in IU2?

I have my Align 35A ESC programmed as it should be. From my normal (0 25 75 75 75) to IU1 (DX8) (90-90-90-90-90) it ramps up but in IU2 (100 straight line) there's no change. How come I'm not seeing an RPM increase in IU2?

Weak lipo will do that. What lipo do you use?

Also, have your throttle end points been adjusted to start as soon as the throttle stick moves? If not, 90 is really not 90

It's pretty common for there to be no increase in rpm from 90 to 100%.

+1 a increase in rpm from 90 to 100% is such a small change that the increase in rpm will be almost unnoticeable. Now if you changed your iu1 curve to 85% flat then the change will be more noticeable.

Basically your transmitter isn't calibrated to your ESC.

In other words, the ESC is thinking ~90% throttle from the transmitter is actually full throttle.

Almost all ESC's are setup this way, simply because by default, they want to be sure you can actually get full throttle with all transmitters.

You should know that there is no industrywide agreement to what constitutes what WOT is. Remember, back in the time this was all developed, we all used glow engines. The throttle was controlled by a servo, and linkages, so the actual throttle signal from the transmitter didn't really signify anything absolute until you setup the linkages.

If you want your stick to actually conform to the ESC range, then back the motor off the maingear and rev it up. Adjust the throttle endpoint so that you can continue to hear the rpm increase just until you hit full stick. You want to have WOT be just before full stick to ensure that you actually get WOT.

Your ear is good enough for this, assuming your hearing is normal.

you just need to reprogram the esc but make sure you have a linear throttle curve before programming. that is what i would try anyway.
