500L barebone kit
Is it possible to buy a T-Rex 500L barebone kit from anywhere?
I have a 500ESP. It is starting to become hard to find parts for it, so I'm considering an upgrade to 500L. I want to keep my electronics, though. |

I haven't heard of any barebones kits for any Align helis, except for some really old versions. You might find something in the classifieds here though.

Its still possible to find parts for the 500 ESP, however you are right the production has switched to the newer models. I have some parts from my 500 if you are interested send me a PM.

The only part that I have been finding difficult is the tail drive gear for torque tube. Other than that, no problem. I tried the aftermarket version and they don't fit properly. I just noticed that both sides on the new are now black. Maybe it was hard to find for a while because they were switching over to a newer style.

The only kits I've been able to find are either the complete kits that have everything or the one I bought which has everything except the GPRO. I opted to go with a Spektrum AR7300BX since I needed to purchase a 7 channel receiver anyway and I've heard mixed reviews about Align's electronics. I've only had one other Align heli, a TREX 450XL (that should tell you how long ago that was) and it was a barebones kit. I bought my combo from Enterprise Hobby.
