Default Mine

Well here is mine. Grommet mod, microheli swash and better batteries courtesy of everyones recommendations here. It flys so much better! Still trying to figure out how to make a half way decent paper canopy.

Well here is mine since I started this sticky. It now has Microheli swash, head, grips and frame. For the motor I got an XP-7A with an HPO5 motor with stock pinion. Nanotech batts. Also I installed a 120sr 3mm boom with the adapter that comes with the micro heli frame.

It flies like its on rails and way better than stock. If you have any questions let me know.

This sticky has turned out awesome thanks to all of you out there with the same freakishly sickness I have

Thank you and Aloha

What battery do you have in the 2S model? Seems a Thunder Power. I actually use the Hyperion 2S 320 mAh. Have you set the governor with the CC10? How many rpms?

Very similar to mine 2S powered

and my 3S powered

Today unfortunately I crashed on the grass at high speed with 3S

Ouch liftbag, thats a shame =[

So I notice you arent using the dual core tail anymore. Do you only use the 120sr tail motor for your 2s and 3s?

Also, I see your 3s is angled forward. Why do you have it like that? And how did you do that? For one, it does make the heli look meaner. I like it.

I use the tail of the 120SR only on models with governed rotation speed.
The motor bog helps a lot the tail and in fact I use the dual coreless tail in my TA915.
But if you use the governor, the dual tail fails and the 120SR is the only choice and I am forced to accept a certain degree of tail wag.

However I have had good luck with the tail of my 2S.

The 3S is so angled due to the Rakonheli skids (maybe coupled with MH frame? ). If I put the stock skids the tail boom is horizontal.

Thanks!

The tail rotors. The White and red is the walkera 4g3 tail rotor blade and the Black, white and red is a Walkera-V100D01-Tail-Blade. The main blade is the white TBDD blade, I just add the decal on it.

The tail boom is 3mm and the length is about 135mm long. The tail hold very well on the 2s setup with the v100d01 tail rotor. I try the 4g3 tail rotor and the 120 sr tail rotor blade full length and it no good. The 4g3 and 120 sr tail blades is good for 1S setup. I have it on with the spin 16000kv 1S motor and it work pretty good but not on the 2S setup.

Hi Liftbag,

Yes, its a Thunder power 250 mah 2s lipo battery I use.

Its exact like your 2s setup. I follow your 2S setup on the forum you post. You are the best. I admire your work. Make my MCPX rock. Thanks!!

I will try to convert my Blue MCPX to 3s soon. I saw you have a post of the 3S set governor for 8T. How it different on 9T setup on the governor? I saw your 3s MCPx video. its pretty nice Can you post your setup?

Thanks!!

Hi! Been a regular 'lurker' here at HeliFreak for a while now and figured I'd post a couple pics of my mCP X. Certainly nothing new with my brushless conversion, just wanted to show how guys like tntburnett and liftbag (among others) inspire people like myself to mod their helis to achieve the best possible performance. Thanks!

The 3S with 9T pinion is the equivalent of the Goblin in the micro-helicopter, a ridiculous power to weight ratio. Fast and difficult to control, but a challenge that gives strong emotions.

Which skids are those? Where can I buy them?

You can see thats all my mTDR needs.

The thicker tail boom is just a black drinking straw.

You can buy at Rakonheli. Now you can have the new aluminium/carbon type. The delrin one breaks easily.

Recently upgraded my MCPX. MH Swash, Head, Grips. Astroid designs boom supports and fin.
MCX2 counter clockwise tail motor with Cat5 wires after i screwed my stock one. Extended boom (should be about 140mm) and Grommet mod.

I have to say... Dylan's products are top notch and excellent customer service to back it up.
