Default Xtreme Turbo Tail Motor

So I picked up this today - http://www.helidirect.com/xtreme-tur...px-p-31996.hdx

Its a very snug fit to plug it in on a BL with the servo spacers but I got it on. I should have broke it in being its a brushed motor but, AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!

It doesn't seem to hold any better than my stock one, I gave their tail blade a try and you can hear the motor working quite hard during flips. So I switched to my 42mm Lynx and now its pretty quiet and tail hold is still about the same which is good.

The really great news is tho, after a 2:30 flight which is my average flight times on my mild, this 7mm motor runs really cool! All the stock tail motors I have run get so hot after a 2:30 flight that you could roast smores on it! I can put it up to my lip and not get burn after a flight which should help it last longer and be able to be flown back to back battries here and there instead of a religious 1 minute cool down before the next battery.

I'm taking my Nano and Mcpx BL out for a beating in the morning and should have a better feeling for it after a few batteries.

After several flights it holds up well, had 2 inverted crashes in the grass and no damage. The boom that comes with this kit is hollow

Flew a couple batteries and the nano was the only heli to come home with no damage lol Great tail motor tho, it is completely cold to touch after a 3 min flight working the tail hard.

I've started to do back to back batteries now when playing in my back hard and its working out great! The tail runs cool and very quiet compaired to stock and even with a collective fumble saving a crash once in a while the tail holds solid!

Hey guy's i just picked up one of these and Was wondering, is it ok to use the wires from a old stock motor on this? And if so is the black lead from the motor the equivalent of the green wire? I know it doesn't matter which ones i solder them too but i would like to keep it where green go's on the outside in the 3 in 1 plug.
