I'm pleased to announce the new TREX 500 Aluminum Bottom Bracket Upgrade is available for immediate shipping and a third vendor (www.readyheli.com) is now carrying the KDE Direct line. The new design came out awesome, with a satin-brushed Aluminum finish and a MIL-spec clear anodize to show off the CNC machining. I'm confident the new design is one of the best upgrades available on the market and I'm looking forward to the response and seeing them on HeliFreak's heli's at the Fun Flys!

Additional online vendors are now supporting the KDE Direct brand line, with five online stores now offering the TREX 600, 500, and soon the 450 designs. As always, products can be purchased directly through the website (www.kdedirect.com) and through these vendors:

www.modefosheli.com
www.deeteeenterprises.com
www.readyheli.com
www.helihobby.com
www.tammieshobbies.com

Thanks to everyone's support and the new TREX 450 design is soon coming, hopefully by the end of the month when the parts arrive from the machinist and anodize facility.

Designs for the TREX 600E, 500, and 450 are now available through the website and online vendors! Thanks for HeliFreaks and everyone's support, I'm proud to see these upgrades at the FunFlys and hearing the success people are having with the new designs. I've attached a few new images of 500 and 450 designs, which are now available!

The entire line has now grown to seven available products, and more are coming soon! Check them all out on my website listed below and feel free to submit any ideas/designs you would like to see in the future. I'm always looking for great feedback and designs all HeliFreaks would love to have!

It looks like it too the hit very well....I've been watching this post, quite honestly the rigidity of the bottom plate makes me nervous....

In a nose in collision like yours, all the weight is carried by the frame, which is mounted by -3- screws on either side of the bottom mount. I noticed in your picture how warped the bottom plate was, No big deal, if it were plastic it would be in several pieces. My question is how did the frame survive where the screws went through the frame into the alum. plate ? It had to either had broken the screw out or ripped through the CF right ?

I really really like the looks of this bottom plate, just worried about the effects on the frame....

Thanks,
Mark

No Damage whatsoever to the CF frame or the screw holes - all of the screws were still tight and in-place. When I unscrewed them, the CF frame sprung back into its original shape. The CNC plate did not allow the frame halves to flex excessively, compared to the plastic which would have just cracked and let each frame side move (and break) independently. Keep in mind though, that I have the Custom Heli 2mm frame which is very strong and does not have the cutouts that some of the earlier Align CF frames had. I am also using the Aluminum bearing blocks which will provide more resistance to frame shearing forces than the plastic ones.

The later versions of this plate have the 2 square locating pins on each side to help the 3 screws on each side with the sliding forces.

Default KDE 600 bottom plate

Just installed my bottom braket for the 600, love the rigidity that has been added to the over all frame. Think that i'm going to finish off with rest of the 600 to stiffen the frame further.

Certianly wish that i had the bottom plate when I had crash and my Hyperion $240 pack decided to explode after the plastic plate failed to do it's job.

Thanks KDE for the great service.

Man, I had such a big crash of my 600 esp with KDE updgrades installed, you wouldn't believe it. Miraculously my damage was down to regular crash kit only. OK, the battery mount tray bent and some minor damage to the frame, that's it really. KDE does an absolutely astonishing job, thank you very much, and the fact that the owner replies to my e-mails in person, man, this is something. Thank you !
It seems I own all of the KDE stuff for my 450pro and 600esp now. ..... and now comes the 700e

I installed all of KDE Direct's frame upgrades in my Chaos 600E. I love the bling they add to the frame. But most importantly, I've crashed this thing 3 times. The last one was the worst. The bottom plate & battery plate bent slightly with no carbon fibre side-frame damage. I also upgraded to the performance tail slider for the 600. KDE Direct products rock! Keep up the great work.
