Depends on where you pull the temp.

I temp mine at the head on the bottom. I look for 210F, approximately.

If you are temping the back plate, it's more like in the 100's plus. But I haven't pulled a temp from there for so long. I can't really say..

But, the engine, fuel type, percent nitro, fan efficiency, and fuel brand make a difference when it comes to temp. And don't forget about the glow plug.

I fly mine really hard and I am shooting for around 240. I took it easy today and maxed out at 222 F with an average of around 210 F. Its a good mixture and I am actually running a little richer than other guys at the field to keep my temps in check when I start hammering on it.

I was just pulling 222 F max this last weekend. It was high humidity and it felt a little too rich. My backplate is always warm to the touch, but then again, ambient temps are usually around 100 F.

Just switched to a dubros line and it was a little smaller in diameter. Had great power and max temp touched 240 F, it had nice power for tic tocs and wasnt soggy like yesterday. After warming it up I was around 190-200 F in a hover @ 2100 head speed. The smaller line I am not sure if it was the smaller line or the air quality today, it was hotter today but less humid. If the line helped lean it out then I suspect that will be a problem on a cooler day where I need more fuel...

I had the engine way to lean. I was running it and topping around 220-240. Well yesterday I decided I was not getting enough power and had to do something about the tune. I richened up the mixture about 12-14 clicks on the high needle and 10 clicks on the mid....and a big wow. Now it will hold the power instead of instantly dying off when the pitch gets added. Kicker is I am still pulling around 220 F. Dont know what the internals are looking like after running it that lean, but I am sure they arent good. I didnt blow the piston but I am thinking of replacing the piston, ring and sleeve this winter after running it that lean.

I pull temp with a telemetry unit, off the 2nd fin clocked 90 to the exhaust port. I run my motor around 220f.

Around 210 measured by telemetry. Sensor is located between closest two fins to the head.
