Personally i prefer the quantum rewinded as it runs a lot cooler, note heat is not a problem for motor, i just like stuf cool under canopy. Actually I have a 5025-440. I'm wondering if its worth fitting an 8mm shaft and getting it rewound. I haven't a clue how to rewind a motor so I would need a recommendation of someone good that can do it for me.

Yes definately a worthwhile proposition, get in contact with dekker or mauro over at rewinding forum, you should get a very similar performance to pyro 850. Its the scorpion correct?
On the other hand if you want to spend a bit more and going to rewind anyway he can do the pyro 850 for you similar to mine in 1.5 mm which has a way stronger construction and runs cooler than the scorp. Btw that 8mm shaft if you buy thevscorp shaft is super expensive for a shaft, must have some diamond dust in it

Thanks, I will go and have a read in the rewinding forum. Yes its the Scorpion HK-5025-440. I was using it in a Logo 600SE but it's been collecting dust for over a year now.
