In other words if it is coming round in a nice banked left turn, it isn’t suddenly going to be in a banked right turn, unless you do something, so you just keep it coming round as it were. If something went wrong with it at that distance, I would have little chance of saving it, but if something goes wrong you don’t have that much chance anyway, so I don’t bother about it.
Yea I know what you mean. Like on the sim, I know where the heli is and what position it is in when it's far away because I know what I inputted. On the camera it just looked super far away at one point

Now don't go blaming me when the wind gusts just as you wave at the camera and the heli ends up coming through the window into the kitchen, knocking over the kettle which then falls over and fuses the electrics to the whole house leaving you in the dark with a heli on the loose Think I've been watching too many "Final Destination" type movies

Excellent flying Sutty.

Sutty , Copterboy

NICE flying.
Funny how we all learn to do different things first.
As I am unsure of how I would go dancing around in front of me like copterboy, but large fast 8's dont faze me a bit.

And Sutty
When I do get Nose-in "prop the low wing" has been how I have been thinking, it seems to work (For a sec or two).........
But really Sutty I am not worthy.

Working on a new video idea.

Well guys, you made me do it. I am going to call it my insideoutsideinvideo. I am working on the results now, but I can tell you this for nothing, if it hasn't worked I shall not be trying it again, because I was well outside my comfort zone. It is awful not being able to hear it, feel the wind, or see it properly, plus I nearly lost it, and have just changed my undies! Will post the results here when done.

The way I am going to learn nose-in is basically learn it on the sim untill I can do it without thinking (Nearly nailed)

And then im going to put my training kit back onto the heli and learn it like how I learned tail-in. I saw a conversation before about this and some people actually learned to hover nose-in before tail-in lol. So now they really struggle with tail-in and have to learn from scratch again.

Once you can do it on the sim easily. Doing it the safe way (training kit) should save the money in real life.

That's the way i'm going to do it anyway. It took about a week to learn a hover tail-in so I don't expect much more with nose-in especially if you can do it with ease on the sim.

Here are the vids. Not great but it was the best I could do under the pressure. I was like jelly on the collective because I was nervous. I did manage to wave at 1:14 though.

This is with main view as the video camera from inside:

This is with main view as the flycam video from the heli:

Cheers
p.s. No further requests for scary projects accepted.

You are the man sutty!! Excellent video, I'll bet it is scary not having all the senses working, hearing the pitch etc. Good effort! Next step is the wireless cam and sat in front of the tv flying

So, here is my progress with the T-Rex 600N. Finally got some time today whilst the family were out and managed to finish the setup and take her out in the garden for 1st startup......

Was going to take her off the ground but realised that my rudder servo is reversed so need to just check the setup tonight and fix that. Hopefully get some video of the maiden flight tomorrow

Also got the Shuttle finished but there is a problem with the starter hex as something is spinning so will try and fix that tonight also as well as finishing the CopterX. Still awaiting the motor for the EXI and then will rebuild the Belt. So many choppers and so little time!!

Lol really funny sutty. I really enjoyed the wave part

Gerd, nice heli you got there Make sure you get another video when the setup is proper.

Apart from the servo being reversed, make sure HH is in the right direction. Like when the wind hits the tail it works against it and not with it!

I bet your chuffed with that heli.

I think i was involved in one of those conversations, i learned nose in first. But now that i've had my little mcx i think i've trained myself in the right stick orientation for tail in and nose in. But we'll have to see, i haven't had my belt up since i've been in heli hibernation. And i have no idea how training on these little co-axils actually translate over to the bigger birds. We will see.

Nice vids guys, psilo you need to go over to sutty's house to fly that thing. Its just to dang big
