Default Im Thinking a new Esc

Hello people i have been hovering,FF,F8`s an so on. So about 2mo ago i ordered 2 packs align pinons a 9t,10t,11t,so i just put the 10 on there were no changes so i thought about changing from the 10 to the 11 just to see what diffrence would be ok so installed it an was doing dam good very stable even in high winds but when i started hovering an i would jus full throttle the heli would climb quick to bout 30-35 ft an level off but it drops an i have keep it at full throttle to it to keep it from crashing just to land sounds an it sounds like the headspeed was cut in half so i though the lipo was dead so i got my other batt an checked before i hooked it up an it said 12.65v so i got it back in the air an did the same thang an the samething happen so i let is set for a few sec so im trying to get to bottom of that so i was thinking is it about time for a new motor or esc or what do you all think jus let me kno all of you all thoughs also would a bigger esc stop dat also could you go to big of a esc

Is the esc getting hot? If it over heats itll cut you to half. You may be drawing to many amps with the 11t pinion. I had the same problem with mine cutting out. It would run for about 2 minutes then would cut my power forcing me down. I had a Hobbywing 30A esc and everthing was stock on the bird and it was running hot. The place where I got the ESC sent me another one and the problem went away.

If the batteries are getting hot and you hit low voltage cut-off with a fresh pack, the batteries just can't deliver the amps you're pulling with your current setup. If you're still using the stock motor, it might not cope too well with the torque - that could put your amp draw through the roof if you're not careful.

What batteries are you using?

+1 Mika if your battery is getting hot that means it is working too hard and may not produce enough amps therefor working to hard. Also be sure to check your gear mesh if it is tight your motor will draw extra amps. Is your motor getting hot? Have you crashed and repaired recently?
