Default What Tail Blades is Best?

Im going to be using Edge 693mm Flybarless for my main blades and was thinking of going with RotorTech 115mm for tail, I've heard from a lot of people that RotorTech is best for tail and that's about it, so will this be a good combination, Edge Main, Rotortech Tail? Ill be using the V-Bar on my T-Rex 700E

Yes the RT tails are nice, well balanced and work well for sure so no worries on your selection there.

I also had good experience with Edge and actually even Align did OK.
Currently I am running ZigSaw 115 mm tail blades. They are a bit more stiff and extreme light weight. Seem to work pretty good.

I have to give edge tails a. I had edge 115's on my 700e and had this tail vibe on the bench and a bad flutter in the air coming off of pitch. Switched to edge 105's and had a little less vibes and a little less flutter. Switched to kbdd's and no more vibes and no more flutter. However I don't like hard stops on the kbdd's. I think I'll try rotor techs if I can ever find them in stock next. I've always had good luck with the align and radix 105's too.

I was running EDGE 115s and got a nasty resonance above 2000 HS. Switched to Rotortech 115s and I can run 2200 smooth as can be! Also they are very light and perfectly balanced out of the package.

+1 Rotortechs

agreed with the edge blades I was getting bad vibes above 1900 ish but with the RT smooth up to 2150 : ) great blades you can run the 120 if you mod your tail fin.

Do you guys balance your tail blades by just weighing each on a scale and making sure they're the same weight, or do you do something more elaborate?

I balance mine using a blade balancer, but there really isn't an elaborate setup on them like you must do on the main blades.

+1 If I order a brand name set of tails for near $40 they better do as they claim, just bolt on and perform very well.

I just throw mine on a scale and make sure they are the same weight. Nothing other than that.

I ordered two pair from rcecho.com on ebay. Took about 10 days from Taiwan, but I got them. Also they are Carbon Tech instead of Rotortech but they are identical blades, I'm sure they're both made at the same factory and one or the other is private labeled.

I'm thinking that Century are the same ones too.

I'm sure they are OEMd for Century. Either way, they are the same thing as RT and fly just as good!

Both balanced at 5g on the nose!
