Default Using nylon bolts for landing gear

At the moment I'm building my new Logo 700. I have the new frameset, which is, to be honest, very filmsy.

I'm considering to use 4 nylon 4mm bolts to install the landing gear onto the frame, so the frame doesn't crack in case of a crash. Did anyone try this?
Reason I ask is that I'm not sure if they will be strong enough to withstand a heavy landing, as the Logo 700 is on the heavy side.

I tried and the thread on the bolt stripped very easily. I went back to the metal ones.

I'm using nylon bolts on my Logo 600sx landing gear... and it's working very well, the bolts never get stripped.
I'm using just the bolts of nylon, the nuts is the original of metal.

Thanks. Very good tip. What happened to me was the nylon nuts were too thin with little bite to the bolt. So they striped easily.

@ Dieter,

First of all congrats with you choice, it's an awsome heli, wich will give you tons of pleasure!!

Please do not use the nylon bolts, this may be ok for the 500 and 600 but the 700 Xxtreme is to heavy, the bolts crack after some autorotations or rough landings and the landinggear wil come off. This because the 700 has some more weight.
Believe me, I know, it did costs me a new set of blades
Just buy the frame stiffeners which you can get, if you want a stonger frame and do use the bolts which are in the kit.

Greetz,
Michel

i have kept the Metal bolts that hold on the skids, but have changed the small 8no screws to nylon that hold the supports for the skids, i have also changed the canopy posts and canopy stand off's to nylon bolts as there is no breakaway tabs and these can easily break the frame at these positions

On my 700 and 800 I bought a spare set of frame cross pieces and used one on the back posts

Order the 3mm ones for posts
