What a bunch of crap! Sure as could be, I got a 24t pinion and not a 22t.

First time I have ordered from helidirect and will also be the last.

There probably isn't a 22t

It's also a 2 piece pinion which is going straight to the can. Don't need a $2.99 part causing a crash.

Someone has to have them. I have looked and have come up with nothing. Rchover shows them and when you place the order they come up as "out of stock."

There is an aluminum collar where the grub screws go and the gears themselves are brass. They must press them together.

I am guessing there was no such thing as a 22t pinion and they changed the part to show that it is 24t.

this sounds very complicated to me, I guess I will order for another pinion then, thanks a lot for saving me embarassment ...

yeah, they changed the name of the pinion, but ready-heli still says 22T, let's see if they change soon as well ! Anyway, not going to order "two piece pinon" ...

The metal upgraded tail blade holders from HeliDirect(under HDX lepton upgrades), i don't think there is a larger 62mm+ tailblade that will work in that grip,,,,unless you have a very thin root and the right size spacers to mount tailblades on the grips, they have a concave design with very little flat area for trueness, the 62mm cf tailblades will work with spacers, but the 68mm CF blades don't allow for spacers and i can't seem too get it in a true postion to eliminate vibration and slop.

This was edited due to fingers getting wrong signals from brain

Hmmm can you give me a link? I am running that tail now I am pretty sure unless it has changed it is fine..... It is TIGHT and better than the Evo 50 clone tail on the current Lepton. The tail blade grips are no different than the Lepton in spacing, so please give me a link to what your talking about please....

No link Bob, just my personal take on the grips. What blades are you using in those grips, i have the 68mm CF blades and they don't fit tight in the grips and will bind up in 1 direction, i guess i will have to dig the camera out to show what i mean.
Bob did your grips come with any blade spacers?
And is there any possibility to get a pic of your tailblade setup?
Maybe i missed something

Thanks Bob

p.s. They are very nice grips though, with no play or binding in bearings

Here is a pic of the Helidirect CF boom installed on my lepton. It was a little tight fit inserting the tail rotor case into the boom, but nothing too bad. I had to file the end a little bit as it was not square and didn't allow me to seat the tail case all the way in to allow the screw holes to line up, but nothing too major. It is the same length and thickness as the stock aluminum one, but looks way cooler! So far so good and it was well worth $15!

Well my mouth spoke before my brain was called upon,,,I found that the stock lepton tailblades fit the grips fine and i just got the 68mm plastic tailblades from Rchover and they fit pretty good too. The 68mm CF Tailblades don't work, due to thinner root which pulls the grips in and pinches them, probably will have to grind them(blades) thinner and use some type of spacers to get a perfect fit.
Sorry Bob as explained in 1st sentence.

My 68mm CF tail blades from RCHover don't require spacers.
