HEIM,
are the production versions available yet? If so let me know how I can get a set. If not, add me to the waiting list.

Is HeimJoint still around? I PM'd him and also sent him an email but got no response. I'm looking to buy one of his Trex 250 t/r sets.

Very much worrth the short time to install. My blade grips are slop free now.
Tail is working perfect.

I put the Heim Joint tail spacer set in my Trex 250SE today and flew it. The tail is MUCH better now.

Default Boca Bearings

Does anyone know if it's better to use the Boca bearings or the Gaui bearings for this mod? A few pages back in this thread someone mentioned that the Align 681 tail bearings are somewhat lower quality - I wonder if these are made by Boca??? Strange how Align's part number is close to the Boca bearing part number.

The numer is the same because it is the industry standard number for that bearing size. The only reason I suggested the Gaui bearings initialy was because a lot of the tail stickyness went away when I used them instead of the Align bearings. I dont think Boca actualy makes any bearings they are just a very good distributor who has many bearings made to thier specs. Just keep in mind that you can get that bearing for anywhere from $0.89 to $12.95 and the quality varies accordingly.

I am in the process of getting new weights for my 250, the old ones needed replacing after lots of crash repairs.

The heli flies terribly with out the weights on a stock V1 tail set with 2 bearings and Heim Joints bearing spacer adjusting system. Servo HSG-5084MG, I may have to put my 9257 back on in the interim

Hopefully I wont have to put up with the tail as it is now for much longer.

Default 250SE -

I understand that the newer Align "weighted" grips that come with the 250SE (H25095A) do not reduce pushrod force very much and that the older grips with the chinese weights are preferred.

My question is do I have to buy the old grips to use HJ's chinese weights or is there a special set that is designed for the new grips? What is the effect of using the weights with the new grips?

-John

I'm not sure if HJ's Chinese weights will fit the new grips since they already have weights on them?
