I tend to crash.. a LOT

Would be interested in a few if they hold up well, I can always be your beta tester!
Gotta keep the wifey happy, give her what she wants.....I get what I want . plus she stays off my back about the whole heli parts constantly arriving at the door thing.

I may send a couple out for testing after I get a few more made up.

Sweet BK!
If all goes well with the flight tests, you should sell them in a quantities of five or ten and I will need the super saver pack that comes with twenty shafts.

SAY WHAT.

Yeah, it came with its own parts warehouse. About the only thing it did't come with was main motors. I got a few of them from xheli when they were running their free shipping sale.

You lucky duck.
How much did you pay for it, though?

I paid 150 for everything. But the heli needed a 4 in 1.

So by the time I was done, I had 190 into it with all the parts.

Hang in there - this seems to happen every year.
Oh hey, wow, didn't see your post, must have skimmed over it.
Sorry!

Granada is maybe, a 30 minute drive, definitely not bad, maybe I'll have a friend pick me some up (shh!) and when I go fly over there with him (he's been coming down here a couple times!), I'll get em from him..

Alright fellas, got the garden 85% done, scare crow and all ( for my son) check it out.

I also got about 10 more shafts made tonight, the only problem is that off the machine there is a tiny little bur you can barely feel around the chamfer on the holes. This will cause it to hang up when you try to pass the bearing over it since its such a nice slip fit.
So I still need to come up with a way to nicely debur around the holes, maybe another day or two and I should have feed back on they're flight performance.

YAY
Mainshafts!

Oh, and I guess, nice garden too.

I really hope for your sake you don't "accidently" decapitate the scarecrow's head in a crash!

Thanks VL, I'm growing big tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, red pepper, jalopeno peppers, sweet onions, cucumbers, cantaloupe, romaine Lettuce and spinach. Hopefully everything turns out well!

My son watches a kids show called "Caillou", its just a really ridiculous kids show, the kid in the show made a scare crow so of course we had to as well! It was fun.

I went to Home Depot and picked up 100 ft of 1/2 PVC and fittings and made a irrigation system, so all I have to do is turn the water on at the house and the whole garden gets watered.

That's actually a possibility, his head is near my normal circling flight path that goes over the garden.. I'll be sure to get that one on film!

Great idea!
I recently started a little garden in my backyard too. Growing celantro and 4 kinds of peppers.
Serano "Del Sol" , Rainbow chili, Jalapino and Bugarian Carrot peppers
I expanded my lawns sprinkler system so its set with a digital timer to turn on certain days. The last time I tried to grow peppers they died because I forgot to water them several times, no more

Anybody using these with the guru-z? I've already bought it hehe, but it'd be nice to know others who have used the xtreme head with the guru

I've never had much luck using green peppers with the guru, although I've heard yellow peppers are a much better fit..

....oh .....sorry.

Well I installed one of my own shafts in my Bee, only to notice while doing so I have major problems with my Extreme center hub. The screws came loose that hold the bearings in and I lost one, and almost the other....

So again, just one more thing to keep me from flying, Im am trying to locate a source that can provide me with more bearings without buying a whole new center hub!!

Needless to say this will bring the shaft testing to a hault, I really need to get a back up bird....I might just send a couple out to a couple of you folks to test for me, since I cant seem to keep my Bee healthy enough for flight..

What size bearings are those?
You can usually get those for pretty dang cheap on eBay..

What are those bearings there for?

I also noticed you have two holes on the bottom of the shaft, am I missing something?
I thought both V1/V2 had only 1 hole?

Or did you make it that way, so it'll be compatible with V1 and V2?

I say this partially tongue in cheek but this thread could be recycled by Horizon Hobby as an advertisement for their Blade Helis.

Like I said above, I really like my HBFP, but if I didn't buy it with 5 years worth of spares, I'd be pretty frustrated now.

I recently had a technical problem with Blade MSR that I own. I left a message right away and a CS rep called me back within half an hour. He helped me diagnose the problem. I called my LHS and bought the part I needed (plus a spare) and had the MSR back in the air.

I know HHs stuff is not nearly as sexy as most, but when it comes to flying time, its tough to beat.

Lolol......sorry I guess I have a really corny sense of humor, although I'm glad you finally got a chuckle from it.

Sorry can't answer your guru question for sure, I've never had a guru frame. Things to look at if know one gives you afor sure answer would be the diameter of the guru shaft, and bearings and clearances all that stuff, I'm sure there is a way to make it work.........heck we can make anything work around here!

If know one answers your question start a new thread to grab more people's attention, you should get the answer your looking for then.
